Looking for restaurants or bars with a view over Vienna?

I picked up some of my favourite locations and share them with you. A drink or dinner in one of them could be the conclusion of my Vienna by night tour. Enjoy a pleasant evening in the city in these places!

  • On the 57th floor of DC Tower, also our skyscraper!  57 Restaurant & Lounge, Donau-City-Straße 7, 1220 Vienna, my favourite;
  • A restaurant which turns around, Restaurant im Donauturm, Donauturmstraße 4, 1220 Vienna;
  • Belvedere Palace from above, Aurora Rooftop Bar Hotel Andaz Vienna Am Belvedere, Arsenalstraße 10, 1100 Vienna;
  • Panorama over the city centre, Dachboden, 25hour Hotels, Lerchenfelder Strasse 1-3, 1070 Vienna;
  • View over the Danube Canal, Istros in Radisson Red, Obere Donaustraße 61, 1020 Vienna;
  • The cultural terrace MQ Libelle in Museums Quartier Vienna, Museumsplatz 1, 1070 Vienna. It offers a view over the centre of the city. Favourite terrance (bar) with view over Vienna, consumption is optional.

With a view over St. Stephen’s cathedral:

Vienna is the capital city of Austria. It also has the biggest population (1.9 Mi, 2022), but is a very safe city.  Our healthcare and social system allows us a secure life. Criminality is very low. You can rely on our modern, clean and inexpensive public transportation (trams, buses, metro and city trains), it is absolutely perfect. A night walk in most parts of Vienna is harmless even for female solo travellers. There is a taxi service which offers female drivers and door to door accompaniment. Most parks in the city close at night.

There are many possibilities to enjoy the illuminated city. Take a private walking tour of Vienna by night. It is a pleasant way to explore the city in the company of a knowledgeable local guide. Ride on the Giant Ferris Wheel at the Prater Amusement Park to see the city lights from above. You can hire a private cabin and have a candle light dinner. The Giant Ferris Wheel (Wiener Riesenrad) was built 1897 and is the only one of its kind still existing. It is one of the symbols of Vienna. From the top you get to see St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the rest of the beautiful city.

Experience the amazing view over Vienna !

Have an exiting evening!
