The interior of the main building of the University of Vienna, completed 1884 after the projects of Heinrich Ferstl. As an institution the University of Vienna was founded 1365 and is one of the oldest in German speaking Europe. Karl Landsteiner (Nobel Prize 1930 for discovering the blood groups), Julius Wagner-Jauregg (Nobel Prize 1927 for his discovery of the therapeutic value of malaria inoculation in the treatment of dementia paralytica), Sigmund Freud (Neurology, Psychoanalysis) and many others studied and researched on its grounds.
Schreyvogelgasse, romantic street on the remains of a former bastion of the city wall, demolished end of 19th century. The film the Third Man (1949, director Carol Reed, written by Graham Greene starring Joseph Cotten, Alida Valli, Orson Welles, a.o.) was shot there.

A Lipizzan horse in his box in the former stables of the Spanish Riding School, Vienna. The horses are born bay or gray and turn white after 6 to 10 years. The breeding of white horses was practiced only by the imperial family, the Habsburgs, as of the middle of the 18th century.
